Participants will learn how parts of the brain are affected by high-risk behavior and how high-risk behavior arrests key adult brain development. In addition, participants will learn how to prevent loved ones from engaging in high-risk behavior. This involves a practical discussion, so please bring your questions and ideas!

Harris Wittels was Maureen’s incredible son, great comedian, co-executive producer of Parks and Recreation and Master of None, and inventor of the word “humblebrag”. He also had a big secret; he had an illness called addiction. He died on 2/19/15 of a heroin overdose. He was 30 years young. His family stood to support him and love him through the darkness but sadly it was not enough. Maureen is sharing his story in order to save others from this tragedy.
